Since tipping is not allowed to park Cast Members, how is the best way to thank and recognize a Cast Member for exceptional guest service? Also, which park and resort cast members are allowed to accept tips and or other forms of gratuity?

    Hello Ian Lee,

Since the Walt Disney World Resort is all about making guests happy and comfortable, you'd naturally like to show your appreciation to the various Cast Members that make your stay a magical one.  Here's the short list of Cast Members that can accept cash gratuities:

    Bell Services
    Housekeeping
    Car Valets
    Bartenders
Wait staff at full service restaurants
    Spa Staff
    Room Service Staff

Most other cast members cannot accept tips, but the best thing you can do for them is to mention their name in a nice note to Guest Communications via e-mail at wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com or via mail to:

    Walt Disney World Guest Communications
    PO Box 10040
    Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040

Be sure to include the cast member’s name and hometown (both noted on their name tag), as well as a description of the cast member’s good deed and approximately where/when it happened.

Guest comments are tracked in the Cast Member's file and can be a great help when determining promotions.

So next time you receive service above and beyond from a Cast Member, send that note to Guest Relations and know that you are helping further someone's career.  I think that's a really good feeling.

    Be Magical,

    Leanne T.
