Happy holidays, Pamela! It's okay to say that as long as we've had Christmas in July, right?
A visit to
Epcot during the Christmas season is on my must-do list every year. With the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays bringing seasons greetings (and eatings!) to every country in the World Showcase, I can't help but feel the holiday spirit drifting over me like a new fallen snow.
My favorite event by far is the
Candlelight Processional. This narrated story of the Nativity takes place three times on most nights at 5:00 PM, 6:15 PM, and 8:00 PM. You'll want to make sure to get there on time to watch as the 50-piece orchestra sets up and the choir processes in. I get chills every time.
I highly recommend opting for a
Candlelight Processional dining package. You can choose breakfast, lunch, or dinner at one of the participating restaurants, but you'll gain access to guaranteed seating inside the American Gardens Theater for the Candlelight Processional. Lines tend to be really long for this show, even early in the season, and if it's a night when there is a popular celebrity narrator, like Neil Patrick Harris, the standby line may not get in. You can still hear the show from standing way in the back, just outside the gate of the outdoor theater, but you won't see nearly as well.
Have a joyous holiday season, Pamela!
