Hi Linda,
Welcome home! And welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for visiting us with your question today, Linda. We are really happy you stopped by. I love getting to chat with fellow
Disney Vacation Club Members and help them make the most of their membership. My family and I have been enjoying the flexibility of our membership for several years. It has improved our trips to Disney Destinations in countless ways!
Okay, Linda, I will be honest with you. I change our reservations quite a few times when deciding when to book our vacations, and also where to stay, there are just
so many magical options to choose from! So if you are like me, there is no need to worry, as you can cancel and rebook as much as is needed.
There are a couple of watch-outs though. Firstly, if you need to borrow Vacation Points for your vacation and then cancel, your borrowed points will not return to their original use year as borrowing points is a final transaction. Also, if you cancel a reservation between 30 and 1 days before your check-in date the Vacation Points will go into a
holding account. These Vacation Points will expire at the end of your use year and cannot be banked or borrowed.
While you are here, I have to let you know about the new
McKim’s Mile House - A Member Lounge, which has just opened at Magic Kingdom Park! This is the perfect place to rest your feet and grab a drink right in the heart of Frontierland! Members eligible for membership extras receive complimentary access!
I hope this helps you as you plan the perfect Disney Vacation Club stay, Linda! If you have any further questions about your membership or any vacation planning questions, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help.
Have a magical day!
Matt
