Hi! I have an October use year. If I plan a trip for November 2026 and don’t have anymore points in my 2026 use year, can I borrow points from 2027? Can I book my stay at my home resort during the 11th month window using my 2027 points? Thanks!

    Hi Amani,

    Welcome home!

Thank you for bringing another question to us here at planDisney! I love getting the opportunity to chat with fellow Disney Vacation Club Members. It sounds like you’re already making plans for an exciting vacation in 2026. If you’re considering November, you’re in for a treat! It’s a magical time to visit Disney Vacation Club resorts as they begin their transformation for the holidays.

One of the things I love most about my Disney Vacation Club Membership is its flexibility. Great news: you can borrow up to 100% of your vacation points from your next Use Year and move them into your current Use Year. This allows you to make a reservation during the 11-month booking window for your Home Resort. Once borrowed, these points become part of your available points.

However, as Spiderman learnt, with great power comes great responsibility! Borrowing transactions are final—points must be used in the year they’ve been borrowed into and cannot be banked or transferred.

To help with your vacation point planning, the 2026 Points Charts are now available.

I hope this answers your question, Amani. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to planDisney.

    Have a magical day!
    Matt
