Is there any timeline on when the 50% points borrow policy will go away? We get our points in December and I’m worried there won’t be anything available at our home resort if we wait until then to book. Thank you!

Welcome to planDisney, Julie! Here you will find a group of Disney enthusiasts eager to help you experience the most magical vacation possible. As a Disney Vacation Club Specialist, I am excited to help you make the most out of your Disney Vacation Club Membership. It sounds like you are planning your next vacation using your Vacation Points, and it would be my pleasure to assist you!

Since you have a Use Year that begins in December, you can book a vacation for December 2021 and beyond, up to 11 months in advance for your Home Resort using your 2021 vacation points. You will not need to borrow Vacation Points if the stay you are booking occurs on a date after you receive your annual allotment of Vacation Points. You only need to borrow from your December 2021 Use Year Vacation Points if you book a stay before December 2021. The temporary policy allowing Disney Vacation Club Members to borrow only 50 percent of their future Use Year Points per contract is still in effect, and no announcements have been made regarding a timeline as to when we can expect this policy to change. I highly recommend continuing to check the Disney Vacation Club website for updates.

I hope this information helps you to plan your next vacation using your Disney Vacation Club Membership! Please remember, you’ve got a friend in us here at planDisney, so stop back by if we can answer any more of your questions.
