What time of year is best to go (less crowded)?

    Hi Tammy,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  I'm guessing from your question that you're going to be planning a Walt Disney World vacation soon.  How exciting!

While the parks do draw crowds year-round, the busiest times are usually when schools around the country aren't in session, so think summer, spring break and holidays.  A few times of year that tend to be less busy and that I've enjoyed when visiting with my own family are mid-January to late February, late April to early May, and mid-September to early October.  These are usually some of the more affordable times to visit, too, and you may even be able to save even more if there's a Special Offer available for the dates you choose.  A couple other things you might consider when making your choice are weather and any special events that might be happening that interest you.  Personally, my all-time favorite time is late September, when I can enjoy both the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and when it's still warm enough to visit the pools and water parks.

I hope that helps, Tammy, but please write back if you have any other questions.  Wishing you pixie-dusted vacation planning!
