We are going for 1st time to WDW. My kids will be 8 & 10. We are thinking about a 1BR suite at Bay View Towers but the travel agent cautioned us against a long walk from the COntemporary to Bay View Towers. How long a walk is this??? Thanks!

I am sitting in a villa room at the Bay Lake Tower right now. I can assure you that the distance to the Contemporary is NOT a problem. The walkway from the Contemporary to Bay Lake takes literally one minute to traverse. This is a MUCH shorter walk that you would find from many of the outer buildings to the main building at most of the other WDW resorts.

I LOVE the Bay Lake Tower. This is a great place for families, with easy access to the Contemporary, the monorail line, and an easy walk to the Magic Kingdom. I would simply ignore your travel agent's comment about the location.
