For a 1st time visit, would you plan a visit with children around holidays? I heard Christmas was real bad with the crowds and all. Would Thanksgiving be better? The summer is so Hot to visit Disney World. What is the best time of the year in your opinion?

    Hi Cindy,

What a great question! I would definitely not recommend a first trip around Christmas or Thanksgiving. Both of these times of the year are very busy and you will not enjoy yourself as much as if you were there during a slower period.

If you need to go when your children are out of school, Easter break is not as busy as the other holidays. The weather is cooler and the crowds are not as large because some states are preparing to go on summer vacation in a few short weeks.

However, if you can take your children out of school, October is a wonderful time for the the weather and lower crowds. In addition, you have the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party to attend as well.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
