Hello there, Jeanne! Welcome to planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and allowing us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
The gateway to “The Most Magical Place on Earth” can sometimes be overlooked even though it is experienced by just about every Guest that enters the
Magic Kingdom! The Transportation and Ticket Center is the area in which Guests can receive transportation to the Magic Kingdom via the Monorail or Ferry Boat, collect will call theme park tickets, or even connect to Epcot via Monorail. It is a bustling place that just brims with excitement every time my family and I pass through!
The
ticket windows at the Transportation and Ticket Center typically begin opening an hour before the official opening time of the Magic Kingdom. This allows Cast Members to help Guests get their tickets and answer any questions before they start their day in the park.
Depending on when you intend on visiting, I do recommend purchasing your
theme park tickets prior to your visit. This will allow you to connect your tickets to your
My Disney Experience account and begin planning your vacation in advance. Additionally, Guests are also required to have theme park reservations in addition to theme park tickets before their visit. Theme park reservations may be made through the
Disney Park Pass system on My Disney Experience account as soon as you have purchased your theme park tickets. If you wait to purchase theme park tickets until your arrival, there may not be any theme park reservation availability left.
If you are interested in any other updated policies prior to your stay, I would suggest checking out the
“Know Before You Go” webpage! This is an excellent resource that lists any modified experiences and updated policies that may be new since your last visit.
I hope you are able to plan a magical stay for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you!
