What time would the river or light show start at Animal Kingdom on November 9 in Walt Disney World?

    Heigh-Ho Nancy,

Welcome to planDisney, we are a panel of Guests with a wealth of Disney knowledge and Walt Disney World travel experience which we love to share with our Fellow Guests. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is truly one of the most beautiful parks I have visited and I love this park is easily done in one day. Home to some of my favorite rides, safaris, shows, food and libations, if you are a thrill-seeker, wildlife lover, explorer, foodie and love a good Disney show, then you are sure to enjoy your visit at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Sadly the River of Lights nighttime show is no longer. While there were talks of revamping the show, it just was not meant to be. But there is still plenty of entertainment all around the park. Currently, Guests can see a variety of Flotillas cruise around Discovery River during their visit. From Mickey and Friends to entertaining drummers, keep an eye out to see what's around the River Bend. Also, on October 1st a new sky-high show will debut, Disney KiteTails. Soaring and sweeping through the skies Guests can watch the fluidity of this colorful display near the Discovery Amphitheater. And once the sun has set be sure to catch a glimpse of the Tree of Life Awakening. This 3-minute show is played upon the Tree of Life with a display of beautiful and familiar projected scenes which play out about every 15-minutes.

If I can help with any other curiouser and curiouser inquiries feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

    Have a Practically Perfect Day,

    Amy M.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
