What time should I plan to be at parks for entrance to Early Magic Hours during the last week of February? Would you utilize this extra time for just rides or do an 8:25 breakfast at Be Our Guest? I want a Disney newbie to experience lots of rides.

Hi there, Debbie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for sending over your question and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

The end of February is one of my top times to visit Walt Disney World Resort, actually! The weather tends to be gorgeous during this time and the entire property seems to come alive with springtime!

Extra Magic Hours are a complimentary perk of staying at select Disney Resort hotels. Guests will have the opportunity to experience select attractions at one of the four theme parks either before or after regular operating hours. This can be a great way to maximize your park time and experience attractions that often have a long wait. In particular, I prefer to wake up early and make my way to whichever park has early morning Extra Magic Hours for the day. For whatever reason, this really jumpstarts my day and puts me into my “vacation mode”!

Generally, I tend to arrive to Extra Magic Hours at least 30 minutes prior to the actual start time. This allows me and my family to make our way to the entrance of the theme park without feeling rushed. It also allows us to go ahead and get in line for any popular attractions that may form a line as soon as the park opens.

Did you know that you can actually enter some of the theme parks prior to opening if you have dining reservations? I have done this on multiple occasions with Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom. Due to this, I tend to focus on experiencing attractions during early morning Extra Magic Hours and then book early breakfast reservations on days with evening Extra Magic Hours.

Have fun vacationing with your Disney newbie!
