    What time does the parking lot at the Animal Kingdom open? I've heard 15 minutes before park opening...is this true?

    Hi Sean,

    While the other three theme parks' parking lots are available far in advance of park opening, typically the Animal Kingdom parking lot opens much closer to opening time. In my experience, the Animal Kingdom lot opens about 20-30 minutes prior to park opening.

    Bear in mind that this is whenever the park actually opens to guests. So if the stated park opening time is 9:00 a.m., but the Animal Kingdom is hosting morning Extra Magic Hours from 8:00-9:00, then the parking lot will be open at about 7:30. Similarly, if the park is hosting tours or character meals that start at 8:00 a.m., then the parking lot will also be open at about 7:30.

    Bearing this in mind, if you're driving, it does not make sense to arrive at the park far in advance.
