Going for the 1st time w/ DH for honeymoon Sept.8 - Sept.22. My ? is how close do the fish & friends come to the swimmers in TL Shark Reef ? Willing to try it but REALLY don't want them to touch me :S Thanks for your amazing job, you helped A LOT plann

    Hi Lily-Pierre,

I totally understand your dilemma, I love snorkelling but never want the fish to come too close, especially the ones with teeth!!!

I snorkelled in the Typhoon Lagoon Shark Reef a few years ago and can't recall the fish coming too close, most of them stayed quite low to the bottom of the reef. What I suggest you do though is before you get into the queue go and have a look at the reef via the viewing area. This way you'll be able to see exactly how close the fish get to the guests and you can make your decision. If you're not completely comfortable in the tank there are life jackets available to wear which may help too.

    Have a fantastic honeymoon trip,

    Jo
