Hi there, Mara! Welcome to planDisney. Park hopping is one of my favorite ways to experience both parks when I'm limited on my days visiting The Happiest Place on Earth. I'd love to tell you about my experience with park hopping on my most recent visit.
There was a previous restriction that allowed Guests to hop to California Adventure or Disneyland at 11:00 AM, but that's no longer the case! I can certainly see where the confusion comes from when
purchasing your tickets. When purchasing your theme park tickets, you'll be asked to choose a park to start in when making your reservation, but you're free to park hop at any time.
This was perfect when I visited the parks a couple of weeks ago. Usually, we like to do everything in one park before hopping over to the next. This recent trip was fun because we went back and forth with our toddler, who's discovered a love for attractions in both parks, like Jumpin' Jellyfish in California Adventure and Autopia in Disneyland. It was also the perfect way to take advantage of the
Kids' Special Ticket Offer, where children ages 3-9 can visit the parks and park hop for as little as $50 per child!
Mara, thank you so much for visiting planDisney. I hope this helps explain how Park Hopper tickets work these days. If you have any more questions or would like more information about what the parks have to offer this summer,
planDisney is always here for you!
