If you've been to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, you likely noticed the many hotel resorts, four theme parks, two water parks, the Disney Springs shopping district, and an expansive transportation network connecting them all. To help keep reservations, tickets, and more organized and running smoothly over there, Guests sharing experiences with each other are connected through a Family and Friends list.
At the Disneyland Resort, home of Walt Disney's original magic kingdom, Disney magic flows with more of a California vibe and on a less expansive scale. The scaled-back approach of the Disneyland Resort doesn't rely on the Family and Friends list approach used at Disney World. Most families and small groups visiting the Disneyland Resort tend to have all of their common reservations and sets of tickets managed under the account of the primary vacation planner of their group. Hotel check-in, dining reservations, and even Lightning Lane redemption are often performed using the Disneyland mobile app on that one individual's mobile device.
But what about if different members of the party would like to share planning Lightning Lane return times? Or maybe the group would like to split up from time to time, such as one portion returning to their Disneyland Resort Hotel for mid-day break while the others continue enjoying attractions, entertainment, and shops in the parks? In cases like those, it's actually pretty easy to link theme park tickets to multiple accounts. Under the ☰ feature menu of the Disneyland app, the "My Tickets & Passes" tile opens the screen for this linking activity. Someone with the tickets already linked can display a ticket. Then someone who would like to link the tickets to their account taps the '+' button in the upper-right corner and then "Link Tickets & Passes." Then, they can either use their device's camera to scan the ticket barcode from the first device or type in the ID number of the ticket to link.
