Ahoy, Karen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! January will be hEAR before you know it, and you'll be starting the new yEAR AND decade the DREAMiest way possible aboard Disney Cruise Line. A
Bahamian adventure on the
Disney Dream couldn't be any more magical.
I'm so glad you asked this question because you want your sea to land transition to be as smooth as possible. Disembarkation day is never easy, so there's no need to rush. Disney Cruise Line recommends flights to be booked no earlier than 11:25 a.m. This will ensure you have plenty of time to disembark, pass through U.S. Customs & Border Protection, and travel to the Orlando International Airport. The travel time to the airport is between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on traffic. One of my family's favorite cruise traditions, before we depart, is to dine with our fabulous dining team one last time. We love to say our goodbyes in person as we fuel up for a day of travel. You should have plenty of time to enjoy this meal with a flight after 11:25 a.m., so I hope you'll take advantage of one last
dining experience on board.
Karen, if you haven't already, I suggest checking out
Disney Cruise Line's transportation option to the Orlando International Airport. Motorcoach buses leave throughout the morning, and you'll enjoy having this arranged ahead of time. It is available for an additional fee, and you may be able to check your luggage directly to your home airport (check to see if your airline participates in the onboard check-in). I utilized this service on my sailing last month and loved skipping baggage claim in the cruise terminal and heading straight to the Disney Cruise Line motorcoach. This service does offer round-trip vouchers if you also need transportation to
Port Canaveral.
We are so glad you sailed over to SEA us, Karen. We hope you'll come back soon if you think of any additional questions about your DREAMy cruise in 2020! We'd love to help again.
