Welcome to planDisney, Chereen!
I'm glad you stopped by to ask about
bus transportation from
Disney's Old Key West Resort. Planning to be on one of the first buses of the day will really give you a great start. I love being among the first Guests to enter a park -- I find I can accomplish so much in the first hour or so after the park opens.
Officially, buses to the parks begin running approximately 45 minutes prior to first Guest admittance, so this would be 45 minutes prior to
early theme park entry for
Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guests. However, in my experience, buses usually start running earlier than that. I recommend being at the bus stop at least 60 minutes before early theme park entry is scheduled to begin. If you truly want to be on one of the first buses of the day, I would say you should arrive at the stop 75 to 90 minutes prior to early theme park entry. Resort hotel Guests are usually allowed to enter
EPCOT approximately 15-30 minutes prior to early theme park entry. Cast Members will verify your resort information for eligibility, and then all Guests will be held at a location deeper within the park until early theme park entry begins.
Did you know, you can
check when the next bus is due to arrive at your resort through the
My Disney Experience app? During your stay, use the menu button in the lower right corner of the home screen to select "Resort Hotel" and look for the Bus Wait Times icon. This feature is only active during your Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay.
Since you'll be visiting EPCOT, I thought I would let you know about one of my favorite snacks -- the Gingerbread Caramel Cookie Sandwich at
Karamell-Kuche in the Germany pavilion. This was introduced as a seasonal treat a couple of years ago, and I am happy to report it is currently available. Even better, you can save time by using
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to pick up this yummy treat.
Chereen, if you have any additional questions, please stop by to see us again. We are always happy to help. Enjoy your stay!
