Hi Alissa! Welcome to planDisney. One of my favorite parts of planning a Disneyland Resort vacation is choosing where to eat. There’s just something magical about building a day around iconic Disneyland snacks and memorable dining experiences. Personally, I never feel like a trip is complete without a stop at
Carnation Café for those famous fried pickles (crispy, tangy, and practically perfect for sharing). I’d be happy to help you plan for those important Father’s Day dining reservations!
Guests can begin making
reservations for select table-service restaurants up to 60 days in advance of their dining date. Most dining reservations typically become available beginning around 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time. When your booking window opens, I recommend logging into your MyDisney account on the
Disneyland app or Disneyland website a few minutes early so you’re ready to search right away.
If you already have a few must-visit restaurants in mind, I suggest prioritizing those first when reservations open. Popular locations like
Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park or
Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park can fill quickly, especially during holiday weekends and special celebrations like Father’s Day.
And if reservations disappear before you can snag one, don’t lose hope! Dining availability changes often as Guests adjust their plans. I also highly recommend using the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability feature in the Disneyland app. My wife and I have had great luck joining walk-up lists during past visits, especially for same-day dining. It’s a fantastic backup option that can sometimes lead to a little unexpected Disney magic.
Since you’ll be visiting during Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, your Father’s Day trip may also include some incredible entertainment offerings. “
Wondrous Journeys” continues to transform Sleeping Beauty Castle with stunning projections, music, and fireworks, while
Paint the Night brings Main Street, U.S.A. to life with thousands of shimmering lights and beloved Disney characters. If nighttime entertainment is your jam, I highly recommend planning at least one evening dedicated to soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the spectaculars.
Alissa, if any additional questions pop up while planning your Disneyland adventure, please stop by and visit us again at planDisney. We’re always delighted to help you prepare for a magical visit.
I hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day celebration filled with delicious food, unforgettable entertainment, and plenty of Disneyland magic!
