    What is the most time efficient way to go from POFQ to Beaches in Cream at Beach Club Resort? How much time should I allow to meet a reservation time of 6:50? Will we be able to make the Illuminations show with this reservation time?

    Hi there Monique!

    Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your questions!  Earlier this month, I enjoyed a lovely stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. The quickest and most efficient way of traveling to Disney's Beach Club Resort is by taxi. I would allow 10-15 minutes travel time between the two resorts, so plan to leave Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter by 6:20 p.m. to give yourself a little extra time to find the restaurant. 

    Although you have an Advanced Dining Reservation for dinner at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, you may encounter a small wait before being seated. I have eaten at this popular dining location many times in the past, and have always found the dining experience to take approximately 60-90 minutes. From Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, you will be able to make the short walk to Epcot via the International Gateway and watch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from World Showcase. Although you may be cutting it very close, I do think you should have ample time to make it before the show actually begins. However, I do want to caution you that many Guests secure a spot 45 minutes to one hour prior to the start for optimal viewing. You may want to consider calling Disney Dining at (407)WDW-DINE or (407)939-3463 to see if you could possibly move up your Advanced Dining Reservation to a little earlier, so that you don't feel rushed during dinner.
