What time does Disney Cruise allow you to enter the port building? Is it true that if you take Disney transportation, you get to check it as soon as you arrive? Or do we still have to wait until our check - in time to enter? Thank you.

    Hi Sally,

Thanks for cruising over to planDisney with your Disney Cruise Line vacation planning question. There are lots of benefits to booking Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation to the port, so let's chat!

Depending on your port of departure and pre-cruise plans, Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation will collect your luggage and whisk you from the airport or hotel to the port. You won't need to mind your checked baggage because they will ensure that the porters and Crew Members deliver it to your stateroom after you board the ship. It makes things easy especially if you are traveling with children.

If you book Disney Ground Transportation, your Port Arrival Time will be assigned when you complete your Online Check-In. You will receive more detailed information 48 hours before your embarkation day. There is no guarantee you will have an early boarding time, but Guests arriving via Disney transfers are typically permitted to enter the terminal when you arrive at the port. Your exact boarding time is assigned when you complete your in-person check-in process. Of course, everything depends on a variety of factors such as when the ship is cleared for boarding so keep that in mind when your embarkation day arrives.

I recommend contacting Disney Cruise Line to arrange your transportation needs. A Cast Member will assist you with the plans and answer other questions you may have. You can also book transportation via the website.

Be sure to have your Online Check-In information ready to go when the big day arrives to simplify the process. You will need to provide your pre- and post-cruise plans, a method of payment for onboard purchases, digital copies of your travel documents, and a simple headshot for each member of your party. Once the process is complete, you can really begin counting down the days until your vacation begins!

Sally, I hope this information is helpful as you continue to plan. Please sail by again if you have other questions; we are always ready to assist our fellow Guests!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
