What time do you depart the ship upon return to Port Canaveral from a 3-day Bahamian cruise?

    Ahoy there, Joseph,

Thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney. It’s good to have you on board!

You are going to love your Disney Cruise Line voyage aboard the Disney Wish. She is a gorgeous ship with incredible special touches. Once you embark on your cruise you may never want to leave! Alas, you won’t be able to stay forever, so here is what you need to know about debarkation morning upon your return to Port Canaveral.

The Disney Wish is currently scheduled to return to Port Canaveral by 7:30 a.m. ET. Guests may begin going ashore shortly after that time once the ship is cleared by port authorities. Joseph, all Guests are asked to depart their staterooms by 8:00 a.m. on debarkation day so that the Crew Members can get the ship ready for the next sailing. Just a reminder, this timing is subject to change so keep your ears open for updates from your Cruise Director during the ship announcements. Now, how quickly you disembark the ship can depend on a few things.

If you opt to place your luggage outside your stateroom on the last night of the cruise between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. for delivery to the ship terminal the following morning, you are asked to wait until your luggage has been delivered to the ship terminal. I typically don’t travel with a large suitcase, so I opt for Express Walk-Off, which allows you to take your luggage with you and debark as soon as the port authorities clear the ship. If you choose this option, you may debark the ship as early as 7:30 a.m. or when the ship has been cleared by local authorities. Again, listen for specific announcements regarding debarkation.

Before wishing the ship farewell, I recommend enjoying one last breakfast onboard. The time and place of your debarkation morning breakfast will depend on your rotational dining schedule, so check your Disney Navigator App once onboard for the schedule. Even with breakfast, you should be off the ship by 10:00 a.m., if not earlier, depending on your dining rotation.

Joseph, I hope this helps you plan your morning. If you have other questions about how to make the most of your time aboard the Disney Wish, please sail back by and let us know.
