Welcome aboard, Meghan! If your kiddos are anything like mine, they will have the time of their lives in the amazing
Youth Clubs onboard the Dream!
Since your girls are ages nine and twelve, they can both spend time together at the Oceaneer Club and also at the Oceaneer Lab. These two clubs are for kids ages three up to 12. Your nine year-old is too young to go to Edge, but your 12 year-old will adore the tween fun there. My daughter is 11 and had her first opportunities to join in on the activities at
Edge on our last sailing. She especially had a blast at the ice breaker activities the first night, where she quickly made new friends and helped the counselors plan all the fun for the sailing. If your daughter will be spending any time in Edge, be sure she heads there the first night for the get-to-know-you activities!
Have you made reservations for a luxurious and romantic meal with your husband at Palo or Remy, the
Adult Exclusive restaurants onboard the Dream? My husband and I never miss an opportunity to dine at one (or both!) of those, our favorite restaurants on the ships. While you're dining there, your girls can hang out in the clubs. If they both want to be together, Oceaneer Club and Lab are the spots for them. But, if they're feeling confident on their own by then, your older one will probably much prefer to spend time in Edge with the older tweens. Though, my daughter will not miss the awesome activities that are her favorites in Oceaneer Club and Lab like the Super Sloppy Science, the cupcake decorating, or some of her favorite games, so your daughter has plenty of options!
I hope that helps as you plan, Meghan!
