Hi what time and date can I start booking dinning reservation if visiting on 11th August 2027. Staying in a resort hotel ? Also what date can I start to book lightning lanes?.. I know this is way ahead schedule. Id just like something in my diary

    Hey there, Katie!

I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney today, and I appreciate you bringing us your question! I truly admire your dedication to planning, and as a fellow planner myself, I love that you're already thinking ahead to when you can book those must-do extras for your visit next summer. I actually did the very same thing yesterday for my own trip this summer, so you're already one step ahead of me!

But honestly, planning is part of the magic when it comes to a Walt Disney World vacation. There’s something so fun about dreaming up all the memories you'll make and imagining what your visit will be like. I really like the way you think!

If you're staying at a Disney Resort, you'll be able to make your Advance Dining Reservations for your entire length of stay (up to a 10-night stay) beginning 60 days before your arrival date. Guests staying offsite can also make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, but those reservations are made one day at a time.

When it comes to purchasing Lightning Lane passes, the process is a little different. Currently, information for Guests from the UK states that Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass purchases cannot be made until arriving in the United States.

That said, some of my fellow panelist pals from the UK have shared that they were able to purchase their Lightning Lane selections 7 days before their Disney Resort check-in date, or 3 days before their park visit if staying offsite. Of course, policies can always change, especially with your trip still quite a ways away, but it would definitely be worth trying when your booking window opens.

Katie, I hope this helps as you continue planning your trip! If any other questions pop up along the way, please know you’re always as welcome as can be here at planDisney.

    Happy Planning,

    Kami
