Welcome to Wonderland, Teresa, and thanks for this timely question. Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is waiting down the rabbit hole, and planDisney is here to help. To keep you from rushing around like the White Rabbit, let's talk about a possible itinerary to get the most magic from your trip. Oh! And happy unbirthday!
Teresa, you could ask ten people this question and get ten different opinions! Folks feel strongly about which theme park is best for this or that, so I'm happy to give you my suggestions. But the bottom line is that any time at Disney is time well spent. No matter where you go or what you do, you will have a fabulous time!
*Glances at pocket watch* I don't want to be late, so I first suggest visiting
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT on your two full days. My family spends the most time at these parks because they have so much to offer. Magic Kingdom has many attractions and entertainment to keep you on the go from open to close. And EPCOT's World Showcase feels like its own separate park to me; I can browse and eat snacks there for hours! Must-dos at these parks are to join the
virtual queues for
Tiana's Bayou Adventure and
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
For your partial days, I recommend spending the morning at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park because the animals are often more active then. We typically choose this park for our departure day, and Kilimanjaro Safaris is my top priority. You can also stroll through the Maharajah Jungle Trek and catch the Festival of the Lion King. If you need a quick thrill, jump in the single-rider line for Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. To make the most of my time, I sometimes purchase an Individual Lightning Lane entry (soon to be renamed Lightning Lane Single Pass) for
Avatar Flight of Passage. Sivako!
Spend your afternoon and evening at
Disney's Hollywood Studios since this park is typically open later than Animal Kingdom. My tip is to purchase Disney Genie+ Service (soon to be revamped as Disney's Lightning Lane Multi Pass) and choose return times for later in the day. Slinky Dog Dash often fills up quickly, so book this colorful coaster first thing in the morning. As Slinky says, "Hang on!"
Teresa, I hope I've given you some options to consider when planning your upcoming itinerary. No matter your decision, I advise taking it all in and savoring the magic. Please stop by
planDisney anytime, and stay curiouser and curiouser!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
