1st time coming to Disney with quick service dining plan. Explain how you can use your dining credits with a character dining? How many dining credits would it take for character dining? Also, if it has a buffet is price cheaper for children than adults?

Hi Aleta! It's always fun for me to talk about Disney with my fellow North Carolina residents! You must be so excited to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World!

With the Quick Service Dining Plan, each member of your party will receive two counter-service meals and two snacks for each night of your vacation. On the Quick Service plan, you'll use your meal credits at the fast-food type of restaurants where you walk up to a counter, place your order for food, and then carry it to a table. Unfortunately, your Quick Service meal credits can't be used at table-service restaurants or buffets, including character meals. Of course, if your family would like to dine with the characters, you can still do so, but you'll have to pay out of pocket for your meal instead of using your Dining Plan credits to pay. At the character meals, the price for children ages 3 to 9 is lower than the adult price. Children under 3 dine free at the buffets.

Wishing you a magical first trip to Walt Disney World! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
