Yeehaw! Thanks for visiting planDisney, Karen. It sounds like you're ready to "
reach for the sky" on your upcoming trip!
I'm happy to hear you'll be staying at the
Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort this weekend. I bet you'll be welcomed by various woodland friends, including a real-life Bambi and Thumper, who inhabit the resort's 750 acres of pine and cypress forests.
The campground's check-in time starts at 3 PM EST. However, I recommend completing the
online check-in through your My Disney Experience app. If you indicate that you'll be arriving earlier than that, and a campsite does become available, you'll receive a push notification that your site loop is ready without needing to go to the Trading Post.
Fort Wilderness encourages guests to decorate their camping space and make it their own; just be sure to follow the tips and rules on the Walt Disney World website. I love exploring the campground loops and seeing how guests give their campsites their own personal touches!
There are so many recreational activities to choose from when staying here! One of my favorites is the Chip 'N' Dale's
Campfire Sing-A-Long, which recently returned. Memorial Day Weekend is a great time to go for a
pony ride, do some
fishing, or even hone your
archery skills! Check out the
Recreation tab on the resort's webpage for more details.
The planDisney Panel hopes you have a rip-roaring good time this weekend, Karen! Please feel free to drop by and see us again!
