    What time is check in for Disney Wilderness and what if we arrive early?

    Hi there, Joe!  Welcome to planDisney.

    Oh boy!  Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins tomorrow!  Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a wonderful place to stay.  Even though it is right in the middle of all the magic of Walt Disney World Resort, the atmosphere feels a million miles away from Central Florida.

    Check-in time for all Disney Resorts Collection hotels is 3:00 pm.  Check-in time for Disney Deluxe Villas is 4:00 pm.  I highly recommend completing Online Check-In in your My Disney Experience account prior to your arrival.  You'll receive a notification when your room is ready, and can then go directly to your room, unlocking the door with your MagicBand or mobile phone.  Online Check-In can be completed as soon as you have a resort reservation linked to your My Disney Experience account, up to and including the date of your arrival.  On occasion, I have been fortunate to receive my room-ready notification earlier than the official check-in time.  If your room is not ready when you arrive, simply store your belongings at Bell Services and enjoy the amenities at your resort or head out to explore.  I'm usually hungry when I arrive, so my first priority is getting something to eat.  My recommendation would be to head to Geyser Point Bar & Grill.  The Bison Cheesburger is fantastic, and the beautiful open-air lakeside setting is sure to put you in vacation mode.
