Hiya, Braeden! I am so glad you cruised by planDisney with this question. I love
Disney Transportation and talking about how to best use this amazing benefit available to Guests at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Resort buses typically start running from the
Disney Resort Collection hotels 45 minutes before each theme park opens.
Looking at the
calendar for this week,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park opens at 7:30 a.m. for
Early Theme Park Entry.
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios open at 8:30 a.m. for early hours. You should see buses running to Animal Kingdom around 6:45 a.m. and the other theme parks around 7:45 a.m.
The buses also run between the theme parks, usually starting around 10 a.m. The signs that tell you the gate to find your bus usually indicate when these bus routes begin.
One of my favorite features of the
My Disney Experience app is viewing resort bus times. The app shows when a bus is scheduled to arrive at your resort and when it should drop Guests off at the theme park. I also look at this information when leaving a theme park to see if I might have an excuse to jump into the
Main Street Confectionery before heading to the Resort Bus Transportation area or if I should
"just keep swimming" to catch one about to arrive.
One of my other favorite app functions is "Get Directions." Select the magnifying glass on the app at the bottom of the screen. Enter the name of the attraction, restaurant or resort. On the page for the location, select the icon to get directions, and the app will map your path, including walking and transit options. It is the best navigation assistant!
Braeden, I hope this helps as you plan for getting from one magical location to another. If you have any other questions, know you have a friend in
planDisney. Drive back by, and we'll do our best to help you on your way!
Happy Travels!
Jana
