Ahoy, Anna!
Thank you for sailing by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It sounds like you'll be enjoying a MAGICal sailing from
Miami in the nEAR future! Cruising from the Port of Miami provides the most breathtaking sail away views that I know you'll love when it's your turn to cast off with Disney Cruise Line!
It's not fun to think about the end of a
Disney Cruise vacation, but you are correct about not wanting to be stressed trying to make your flight. The best ending to a magical trip is a smooth and seamless sea to land transition. For that reason, Disney Cruise Line recommends not booking a flight before 11:30 a.m. (noon for the May 8, 2020 departure) to allow ample time to collect luggage and proceed through U.S. Customs & Border Protection with ease. This should also allow plenty of time to savor one last Mickey meal before disembarkation. My crew always enjoys
dining with our incredible servers on the final morning to say our goodbyes and take one final photo together.
Anna, be sure to check out the
ground transportation information on the
Disney Cruise Line website if you are interested in purchasing ground transfers to and from the Miami International Airport. It's a great way to begin and end your vacation because Disney Cruise Line will take care of all the details for you! You can even book a pre-cruise hotel stay with Disney and utilize the transfers to the port on your departure morning. My family always like to arrive the day before we set sail, so our embarkation day is also stress-free.
Happy planning, Anna! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
