What time can you board the Ship?

    Welcome aboard, Sandra!

You must have a really exciting voyage with Disney Cruise Line planned! I love sailing with Disney no matter from which port we sail, or on which itinerary we embark. There is always something new and magical to experience for each person since Disney Cruise Line offers something for everyone! You're in for a very special trip!

When it comes time for you to begin your online check-in (75 days prior to departure for first time guests, and 90 or more days prior for those who have sailed with Disney before), you'll be walked through all the steps of filling out the correct information. During that check-in online, you'll also get to choose a Port Arrival Time from a list of remaining available time slots. That is the time Disney will be expecting you to arrive at the port terminal. Arrive during that time slot and check in at the desks and it is then that you will receive a boarding number. Once your boarding number is called, you'll be on your way onto the ship, taking that first step into the beautiful atrium as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival. It is the best way to begin what is sure to be a magical adventure!

Typically boarding begins around noon, depending on the port. I find that the later we arrive, the less time we have to wait in the lobby to board. So, if you're okay with arriving around 1:30 or 2:00, you may very well walk right onto the ship once you check in! The earlier your Port Arrival Time, especially if this is your first sailing, the longer you'll probably have to wait for your number to be called.

I hope that helps as you get ready to set sail. Please stop back with more questions as you plan, Sandra. We're happy to help!
