Will we have time to get back to our resort in the afternoon for some relaxing time before supper reservations or would you recommend staying at the resort the entire day!

Hi Amanda, Thanks for visiting the Mom's Panel! I wish I had a little more information to better answer your question based on what time your advanced dining reservation will be, what resort you will be staying at, and your plans for the day. My family loves going back to our Disney Resort in the afternoons for pool time/nap time and then having dinner before returning to the parks.  If you are planning to visit a park that day, then I would recommend leaving the park around 1:00 p.m. to return to your resort for a little downtime if you have an early advanced dining reservation. However, if your advanced dining reservation is not until 7:00 p.m. or later, then you may have ample time to stay in the parks a little longer. With that being said, we do enjoy "Resort Days" in the middle of our Walt Disney World Vacations to just relax and enjoy all the amenities of our Disney Resort. We enjoy getting a little more dressed up for our dinners on days that we will not be returning to a park. I have personally found it to be really nice to sleep in after a late evening in the park, enjoying a leisurely breakfast, playing by the pool during the day, and then having a relaxing dinner.  I think it will be personal preference if you want to just head back to the resort early or make it a full day at the resort.  I don't think you can go wrong either way. Please feel free to write back giving me a little more information and I will be glad to offer you additional suggestions. Best wishes for a relaxing and Magical Trip!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
