Hi Sandrine! Welcome to planDisney! There’s been so much excitement surrounding Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration since it began in May, and I’ve loved seeing the magic unfold with each visit.
At this time, Disney hasn’t shared an official end date for the celebration. That said, as the Resort moves through the fall and winter seasons, certain offerings may shift to make room for new festivities. Right now, Guests can experience
Halloween Screams, the nightly projection show that lights up the skies over Sleeping Beauty Castle (with fireworks on select evenings). Meanwhile,
Paint the Night is scheduled for its final performance in mid-November, as the parks prepare for the holidays. Many 70th Anniversary touches will remain, including
World of Color Happiness!, the
Tapestry of Happiness projections, MagicBand+ interactions,
Key to Disneyland lock stations, and other decorative nods to the milestone. For the latest updates, the
Disney Parks Blog is always the best source.
If your visit happens this fall, you’re in for some frightfully fun sights! Main Street, U.S.A. is lined with hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins, each one bursting with personality. Over in New Orleans Square, Haunted Mansion Holiday is a seasonal favorite where Jack Skellington and the citizens of Halloween Town take over the classic attraction. Try catching it at twilight! Jack’s special lighting moment is a treat that never fails to delight.
Once the holidays arrive, the Resort sparkles with an entirely new kind of wonder. Sleeping Beauty Castle becomes the Winter Castle, draped in icy-blue lights and shimmering snow. it’s a small world Holiday dazzles with thousands of colorful bulbs outside and festive global scenes within, celebrating traditions from around the world. And this year, Mickey and Minnie are debuting brand-new holiday outfits created especially for the 70th Anniversary, which are perfect for that extra special photo moment.
So, whether you’re visiting during the final weeks of fall or the start of the holiday season, there will be no shortage of celebration waiting for you. If you have any other questions as you plan your visit, we’re always happy to help at planDisney!
Wishing you a magical day,
David
