Hi Juanita! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
The ticket should be able to be transferred if it is completely unused. Additionally, the name on your ticket won't matter, so long as the ticket type doesn't require a government-issued photo ID for use and entry. Once the ticket is scanned at the entrance, a Cast Member will take a quick photo. This photo will identify the Guest rather than the name on the ticket going forward. If the ticket is unused and valid and doesn't require an ID for entry, you can easily transfer that ticket to a friend or family member. I am happy to walk you through this!
Do you have the purchase confirmation e-mail? Pull it up to find the ticket ID number. Have the new Guest download the
Disneyland mobile app and sign into their MyDisney account. They can manually enter this ticket ID number in the app to link it to their account. Tap the three-bar menu on the bottom right side and the "My Tickets & Passes" tile at the top. Tap "Link Tickets & Passes" or the "+" sign to link. Choose the "Type ID" selection at the top to manually enter the ID in the "ID Number" box. Tap "Link Media" when the number is entered.
If a theme park reservation is already associated with the ticket, check for it in "Future Plans" under "My Visit" on the app. This is found a little bit below the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. They will need a valid ticket and a theme park reservation for entry, and theme park reservations aren't guaranteed.
Availability is limited and subject to Blockout dates associated with the ticket type. It is possible for them to fill up on popular days.
If you want to gift a ticket that requires the name on the ticket to match the Guest, please call the
Tickets phone line. Name changes can't be done online, so a helpful Cast Member will need to handle it for you. I've reassigned tickets this way and it was a quick process.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
