Hi, we have tickets to visit Epcot this Friday (05/17/23). Are we able to park at Disneys Boardwalk and use the walkway to the International Gateway entrance if we’re just visiting Boardwalk and Epcot and not staying at the resort?

    Hello, Michael,

It's great to see you again with another question! Your trip is just hours away and I know you must be so excited to get the fun started. Let's discuss your parking game plan.

I'm a HUGE fan of Disney's BoardWalk Inn as well as the entertainment and dining options in that area. The laid-back waterfront vibe brings me back to my summers on the Jersey Shore, and I love being steps away from both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios as a guest there. Though this resort is conveniently located near the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT, you would not be able to leave your vehicle there for the day while you spend time touring the park. Complimentary self-parking is available for a few hours to day guests, but Cast Members at the parking gate may deny entrance without a dining reservation or other eligible experience. The same is true for day guests at Disney's Beach and Yacht Club Resorts.

I know this is not the answer you hoped for, but it's necessary so parking is available to registered guests during their stay, as well as other guests visiting for dining reservations. There is no greater panic than circling the lot multiple times while trying to be on time for a reservation, especially with hungry kids in tow. I fully appreciate wanting to be as close to the magic of World Showcase as possible (and all those incredible food and beverage options at the France Pavilion in particular) but your best bet is to keep your vehicle parked at your resort and utilize complimentary transportation, or to park at the main entrance at EPCOT. You might also consider parking at Disney's Hollywood Studios and boarding the Disney Skyliner or Friendship Boats to EPCOT International Gateway.

As a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest, you'll enjoy standard self-parking at the theme parks each day. If you are an off-site guest you can pay for parking at one park and enjoy parking at any of the other parks on the same day. Just bring your receipt with you when arriving at the second destination.

I hope this was helpful, Michael. If we can answer any additional questions before your arrival, or during your visit please come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
