Hi there, Travis! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. It sounds like you’ve uncovered a special treasure that will be your key to a fun family vacation at Disney World!
Now, let’s figure out what’s possible with your vintage tickets!
Disney World honors unexpired theme park tickets with remaining admission days, regardless of how old they are. Since used tickets are
non-transferable, the five family members that already visited Disney World with their tickets will need to be the ones to use the remaining days. If the other three tickets were unused, other family members or friends should be able to use them.
Call the Existing Tickets phone number and a Cast Member will be happy to talk you through your options and get you set up for your next visit!
A lot has changed since 1999, but one of the first things I’d recommend is downloading the
My Disney Experience app. This magical tool helps with everything from pre-trip planning to making things more convenient while you’re on your vacation. You’ll be able to easily access your theme park tickets, view attraction wait times, navigate the park, book
Lightning Lane Passes, join
Virtual Queues, and preview your
PhotoPass photos, just to name a few of the things you can do! I also love
mobile food ordering through the app for getting meals with a shorter wait. And less time waiting in line means more time for all the Mickey-shaped snacks!
Once you have the My Disney Experience app, you can also set up
MagicMobile Service which gives you most
MagicBand features right through your phone’s mobile wallet! This includes entering the parks, linking PhotoPass pictures, and checking in at Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane entrances. A lot of my friends don't have a MagicBand, so this is a great alternative.
I hope this helps you make the most of your vintage tickets, and sets you up for a magical vacation with your friends and family! If you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
