HI! We have tickets and park reservtions for 5 for 2 days in October. I have the app, is there a physical ticket we need to have to enter the park? Thanks! Greg

Welcome to planDisney, Greg! Your Disneyland Resort adventure is just around the corner. How exciting! I’d be glad to help make sure you’re fully set for a seamless entry into the parks and ready to enjoy every magical moment of your visit.

The great news is that since you’ve already linked your theme park tickets and reservations to your account in the Disneyland app, you’re ready to go. No physical ticket is required for entry. When you arrive at the gate, you’ll simply scan the barcode on your digital ticket. At that time, the entry booth will take a quick photo of each person in your party, which connects each ticket to the correct Guest. Once that step is done, you’ll be all set to enjoy your day. Nothing else is needed to enter!

Since you already have the app downloaded, I recommend taking a little time before your trip to explore its features. It’s more than just your digital ticket; it’s your go-to guide for Lightning Lane selections, mobile food and beverage orders, and PhotoPass photos. You might even consider having another member of your group download the app too. My family finds this especially helpful on busy park days. While I manage Lightning Lanes, my wife takes care of placing mobile dining orders. Dividing tasks this way keeps us stress-free and gives us more time to focus on the magic.

Here’s a Q-tip: try to arrive early. Being among the first Guests inside often means you can enjoy a few attractions with shorter wait times before the crowds build. You could take a joyful spin on Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Fantasyland or start the day with the breezy thrills of Silly Symphony Swings over at Disney California Adventure. Arriving about 30 minutes before park opening works well for my family. It puts us in the perfect spot to kick off our Disney day.

Since you’ll be visiting in October, keep an eye out for the Halloween Time touches. Main Street is decked out with festive pumpkins, and Haunted Mansion Holiday is a fan favorite with its Jack Skellington makeover. Those details make the whole park feel delightfully spooky.

I hope this helps, Greg! If you have more questions before your trip, please stop by planDisney again. We love helping Guests plan unforgettable visits.

Wishing you a trip filled with pixie dust, happy memories, and plenty of Halloween magic,
    David
