Oogie Boogie Bash

    We got tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash and are a bit uncertain with the costume guidelines. My husband is a huge “Star Wars” fan and would like to wear a “Jawa” costume, but I am uncertain as to whether this is too long.

    We're so glad that you stopped by planDisney with your question. First of all, congratulations on obtaining tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash! That is incredible and I'm very happy for you! Oogie Boogie Bash is an amazing party and it's one of the most popular Disneyland After Dark Events for good reason. Disney California Adventure transforms into a fantastic Halloween Wonderland and there's never a dull moment while you're there.

    I love hearing that your husband wants to dress up as a Jawa and it's great that Jawas have been featured more prominently on The Mandalorian. You are already aware of the costume guidelines for adults during special events, but I had a chance to chat with a Cast Member about your specific situation. Long robes are allowed as long as they fall within the guidelines. So as a precaution, I would just ensure that they do not touch the ground. Headwear should be fine as long as his face is visible. 

    Are you going to dress up alongside your husband? I bet you're going to take home some wonderful memories from the evening, so make sure to utilize Disney PhotoPass photographers during the party! Remember that you can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3 p.m. that day. Take some extra bags for all the candy that you'll bring back and take the time to experience Villains Grove. It's consistently my favorite part of the event!
