Hello Martha!
Welcome to planDisney!
The holidays truly are the most wonderful time of the year, and they are even more magical at the Walt Disney World Resort. From gorgeous decorations to tasty treats and special events, there is so much to do throughout the theme parks and resorts.
Because the magic of the holidays is indeed around every corner at the
Walt Disney World Resort, everyone wants to have a holly jolly Christmas at Disney. Your question asks about getting tickets. If you are looking for 2-Day park tickets, those can be purchased through the
Walt Disney World Ticketing Page. But what I think you may be asking about is if there is a way this close to the holidays to secure a
Disney Park Pass Reservation to Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You noted a travel date just before Christmas, and I know that Park Pass Reservation are very limited that week, and some days are already completely booked. Martha, there is no magic or secret way to snag a reservation if one is not already available, but I do have a few ideas for you.
First, you can continue to check back in case of cancelations or if availability changes. Also, you could consider rescheduling your trip for a less popular time of year and give yourself plenty of time in advance to book your Park Pass Reservations. If visiting for the holidays this year is a must-do for you, you might consider adding the
Park Hopper Option to your theme park tickets. It looks as if Epcot has availability on most days the week of December 19, with Disney’s Animal Kingdom also available towards the end of that week. With the Park Hopper option, you would make a reservation at Epcot or Animal Kingdom and visit that park in the morning. Then, after 2 PM you could “hop” to another theme park, including Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. While hopping is not guaranteed, hopping privileges have only been suspended once, and that was for entrance to Magic Kingdom on its 50th Anniversary. The odds are that you would be okay to hop, especially if you went right at 2 PM. You could also consider Park Hopper Plus which would give you admission to
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and make that your plan for the day on December 20, 2021, which currently shows no availability at any theme park. If you are planning to visit the week between Christmas and New Year, things are currently booked most days that week. My only advice is to check back multiple times daily to see if availability opens up.
Sending you all my pixie dust, Martha, that you can snag that perfect Park Pass Reservation.
