Hi Linda,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite special event of the year and I'm so excited for you-you're going to have a spook-tacular time! I went a few weeks ago with my family (we went really early in the year, but can you think of a better way to celebrate a hurrication) and had such a great visit to Magic Kingdom Park.
I had a little heart-to-heart with my friend Google and was able to see what I believe is the costume you've purchased for the party. Linda, not only is it super cute, but it's perfect! For adults, tutus are absolutely allowed in the
Costume Rules for the party. Full length capes and skirts are not allowed for adults, so your costume is within all the guidelines.
Since it's your first visit to the party and I already have your attention, can I give you a few pointers? Treat bags are provided at the entrance of the party, but the Cast Members handing out candy are incredibly generous; we bring lightweight drawstring backpacks so we can move through the park easily while toting our goodies and having our hands free to keep ourselves hydrated during the warm Florida evenings. Are you a character meet and greet fan? Your party ticket will allow you to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 4 pm the evening of the party; you can use those extra three hours to enjoy your favorite attractions and choose your must-meet characters of the evening. If you want to meet Jack Skellington and Sally, for example, you should line up early because they are very popular. Finally, take the time to enjoy the parade! It's incredible and completely worth the time to watch. You won't regret it.
Linda, please come back and visit us again with any additional questions.
Happy HalloWishes,
Amy S.
