Do tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party sell out for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when they go on sale to those with an existing resort reservation and annual passholders or are some typically left when they go on sale to the general public?

Hey Howdy Hey Michael and welcome back to planDisney!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a super fun way to get into the Holiday spirit and celebrate the Magic of the season in the Most Magical Place on Earth with so many of our favorite characters. Thank you for your question about the dates and availability of this party. Let's see what we can do and get you some answers.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select nights in Magic Kingdom in November and December. This year and in years past, the party typically finishes up for the season a few days before Christmas. When crowds are at their peak around Christmas and New Year's, they typically will not have these parties rather will have some features of the parties available to Guests in regular park attendance.

In Magic Kingdom for Christmas Eve and Day, Guests will be able to enjoy Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade a couple of times throughout the day. At night, Guests will be able to enjoy Minnie's  Wonderful Christmas Fireworks show. Both are exclusive to the party before those dates but around Christmas itself, you should have special Holiday celebrations with general admission to the parks.

Typically when the tickets go on sale, Disney does not keep reserved tickets for any party. They may only have special-priced tickets for Disney Vacation Club Members or Annual Passholders but this shouldn't impact overall attendance numbers. If you are thinking about attending the party next year and this becomes sold out, I would check with the Ticket Office during your trip as things do change with Guests and you may stumble upon availability. The best advice I can give you though is to plan ahead for the party early and get your tickets early!

Best of luck during your Holiday celebration and please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
