have tickets ,hubby and I,for MVMCP in Dec. I was reading about it, have a question. Does the park close when it starts and MVMCP guest get to enjoy the events & the park alone? If so how should I plan our day so we wont be dragging our selves a 12am? J

    Hi Jennifer,

Yes when Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party then the park is closed to all guests without tickets. As you enter the park using your party ticket you'll be given a wrist band and once the party starts, normally 7pm, all guests without wrist bands will be asked to leave. Generally you will find the attractions have shorter queues once the party starts!

I went to an evening party a few years ago and my family and I visited a park in the morning for a few hours but made sure we had an afternoon rest and swim for several hours so that we could enjoy the party fully later on. Your party tickets will allow you entry from about 4pm so a nice idea is to book a dining reservation for about 5pm so you can eat before the party starts. You will find that as the party goes on the park will gradually get emptier so the later you can stay at the park the better, plus it's very cool walking down a deserted Main Street at the end of the party!

Enjoy the party and be sure to sample some of the delicious hot chocolate on offer,
