I have tickets for Disneyland on 6/14 and 6/17 but I don't seem to be able to book dining reservations? It keeps telling me I need a valid park ticket/reservation?

Welcome to planDisney, Amy! Oh boy...your trip countdown is in the single digits! Summer is a fantastic time to visit Disneyland Resort. Longer park hours mean more time to play; plus, parades, shows, and fireworks happen every day. Check the entertainment schedule for all the fun things to do during your stay!

You're smart to try to secure some dining reservations for table service restaurants. Disneyland usually releases reservations 60 days in advance, and you can book through the Disneyland website (my preferred method) or via the Disneyland Mobile app. Keep in mind that some locations do not book that far in advance, so keep checking back if you cannot find a reservation.

Many restaurants are located inside the theme parks, and you will need valid admission and a park reservation to dine. However, theme park tickets are not required to book dining reservations. If dates/times are not showing up for you, that most likely means they are not available since they are very limited. I did a quick search for a party of two this morning, and several time slots popped up for me at popular restaurants, even though I don't have theme park tickets linked to my account currently (sadly). When no reservations were available, I received the following error message, "We were unable to check for available tables at this time. A problem occurred while looking for availability. Please try again later." It sounds like you are getting a different message, though. You may want to try calling Disneyland Website Support at (714) 520-6222 and select option #4 if the problem persists.

If all else fails and you cannot secure a dining reservation, keep trying, as cancellations happen often. I also recommend trying the Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability feature at select table-service restaurants when you get to the parks. There's no need to speak with the Host/Hostess or but you will need to be near the desired restaurant.

I hope this advice provides some food for thought, Amy! Please feel free to write back anytime, as we are always happy to help. See ya real soon!
