Hello Craig! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh, Craig, I'm sorry to hEAR that you're stopping by with such unfortunate news, I bet you and your wife were getting really excited to head to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! It's never fun to have to cancel an exciting vacation but with the extra time you'll have to plan now you might just make your rescheduled trip even better!
Fortunately, postponing your magical vacation shouldn't be too difficult, and hopefully, you'll be able to plan another trip shortly after that poor broken ankle heals! If you have a
My Disney Experience account, you might find that you're able to cancel your reservations right online. To do so, sign in to your My Disney Experience account and go to "My Reservations." There will be a "Cancel Reservations" button if you're able to cancel your trip online. If you're having difficulty canceling online, or if you don't see the option to do so, please call the Reservations line at (407) 934-7639 and speak to a friendly Cast Member.
While Theme Park tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable, the cost of them can be put toward new tickets when you and your wife decide to reschedule your vacation.
If you had any perfect date nights scheduled at one of the many fabulous dining options at the Resort, you'll want to make sure you cancel those reservations as well. If you don't cancel each dining reservation you will be charged a no-show fee, which will make your day less than magical! When rescheduling, you might be interested in dinner at
San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT, or the newly reopened
Flying Fish at Disney's BoardWalk. Both restaurants are romantic, attractive and DELICIOUS, and by the time your wife is back to her mobile self, I'm sure she'll love a night out!
Again, I'm sorry you're needing to cancel for now. Hopefully, you'll be able to reschedule your trip and dive into the magic very soon!
