We got our tickets for December 31 but are going to be unable to make it. What do we need to do to change the date?

Happy New Year, Lorie! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with another great question! I'm sorry for not helping you sooner, as I see you were inquiring about changing your Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets for December 31. Hopefully, you were able to find a Cast Member to assist you, but I'm still happy to offer you some advice for future reference.

Guests can make changes to their Date Based Theme Park Tickets before midnight Eastern Time of the day before their ticket's first valid use date. First, open up your My Disney Experience App, and select 'Tickets and Passes.' Choose the ticket you want to modify, and underneath, you should see a button option to 'Change Ticket.' I caution you to check the calendar on the Theme Park Reservation Availability page to verify that your new dates are available before making any changes. Guests who change a ticket to a higher-priced date will be required to pay the price difference (unfortunately, there will be no refunds to changes to lower-priced dates). Then, make sure to get a Disney Park Pass Reservation for your new dates. If you need any extra help, call (407) 934-7639 and speak to a Cast Member specializing in Tickets.

If you need any more advice rescheduling your vacation, Lorie, feel free to write back. Remember, "You've Got a Friend in Me!"
