Hiya, Donald.
Welcome to planDisney! Gawrsh, I'm so sorry to hear your magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans have been affected by COVID-19. I can imagine how disappointed you must be that you won't get to experience
The World's Most Magical Celebration with your daughter and grandson as planned. I wish reality was like
Fantasmic! and Mickey could pull out his magical sword to defeat COVID-19 once and for all.
Fortunately, there is some flexibility for
theme park tickets in situations like this. If you know when your family might return to Walt Disney World Resort again, you can always change the dates on their tickets to the dates of a future trip as long as you do so before the original start date of their tickets. Keep in mind, you may have to pay for any price difference if applicable. Let me walk you through how to change the dates on their theme park tickets.
- Log in to your My Disney Experience account on a browser and go to your "My Plans" page. Scroll down to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and clock on "Tickets & Memory Maker." You should see your daughter and grandson's tickets listed here. If you click on their ticket, it should present the option to change the date of the ticket.
- In your My Disney Experience App, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner on your home screen. Select "Tickets & Passes" from the options that appear and scroll through to find their tickets. You should see an option to modify the dates below the ticket details.
If you do not see your daughter and grandson's tickets listed when you follow these steps, it's likely your daughter linked their tickets in her own My Disney Experience account and will need to follow the steps above to change the ticket dates herself.
If you don't have any trips to Walt Disney World Resort in the foreseeable future to change the dates of their tickets to, I suggest you reach out to the helpful Guest Services Cast Members at (407)939-1936. They will be able to walk you through your options and answer any questions you may have.
Donald, again, I am so sorry your plans were thwarted. I hope you are able to return to the magic again soon with your daughter and grandson in tow. I know it's likely not what you pictured in your mind, but I hope you find ways to enjoy The Most Magical Place on Earth in the midst of the circumstances. Be sure to check out the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival on your vacation. Perhaps you can find a souvenir from the Festival to take back home to share some of the magic with them since they won't be able to attend themselves.
Please stop back by planDisney again if you have further questions. We are happy to help any way we can.
Wishing you all the pixie dust,
Alyssa
