Do you have to have tickets or a confirmed hotel reservation to be able to make your dining reservations?

    Hi Lauren,

Welcome to planDisney! Just thinking about all of the fantastic dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort has my mouth watering! Trying lots of scrumptious bites and beverages is one of my favorite things to do during our Disney vacations, so I'm excited to hear that you're already thinking ahead!

You do not need to have tickets purchased or Disney Resort hotel reservations made to make a dining reservation. All reservations will open 60 days in advance around 5:45 - 6:00 AM Eastern time, and they are first-come, first-served. If you do happen to have a Disney Resort hotel reservation made, make sure it's linked to your My Disney Experience account because that will allow you to make dining reservations for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days) beginning 60 days before your check-in. While that's a great perk, it's not required!

If your dining reservation is in a theme park, you will want to make sure you have a valid ticket and Disney Park Pass reservation to access the park and enjoy your meal. Your Disney Park Pass reservation does not have to be in the same park where you'll be dining, but be aware that if Park-Hopping privileges are suspended due to capacity limitations, a dining reservation will not guarantee you access to the park.

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Lauren! I'm sending pixie dust that you find the perfect dining reservations for your visit and hope you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
