Happy holidays, Divina! You're planning to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth for Christmas, so I hope your stocking is packed so Santa can find you. It sounds like you still need to purchase theme park tickets, so let's look at your options during this festive time of year.
I checked the
Theme Park Reservations calendar, and at this time, Magic Kingdom Park is the only theme park that shows no availability. I could not select that park when I experimented with purchasing a ticket. The Park Hopper Option was also unavailable, so you will choose a different park to celebrate Christmas. I have some ideas!
All four theme parks are
decorated for the holidays with giant sparkling trees, wreaths, and more. Holiday carols waft throughout, and characters might even be dressed in their Christmas best. I think you'll have a holly-jolly good time at any of the parks!
With the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays underway, I recommend heading there on Christmas Day. Holiday Storytellers regale cultural traditions and folklore throughout the World Showcase, food trucks abound with holiday fare, and you can't miss
Living with the Land—Glimmering Greenhouses. My tip is to ride after sunset to be enchanted by a glowing holiday treat for your eyes.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park boasts a gorgeous tree at its entrance, so be sure to let the Disney PhotoPass photographers snap your photo. This park's holiday decor is more subtle, but the traditional African wreaths are among my favorites. The wandering Merry Menagerie always brings a smile, and I saw plushies for sale for some menagerie animals!
At
Disney's Hollywood Studios, stop by Toy Story Land to enjoy the characters ho-ho-ho-ing in their holiday gear, and stick around for the Sunset Seasons Greetings projection show at the Hollywood Tower Hotel. My family was thrilled with the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong Celebration's finale during the season. I don't want to spoil it, but you'll love it; trust me!
Divina, I'm sure you're disappointed that Magic Kingdom Park is booked for Christmas Day, but the other parks offer plenty of holiday cheer. Besides, the magic we make ourselves is often the most memorable. I hope you have some yuletide fun, and please stop by
planDisney again!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
