How does ticketing and lightening lane work if you don't have a phone that can have apps on it?

Hiya, pal! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.

I am super impressed that you are app-free in this modern world of ours! There have been many a time that I'm tempted to delete my apps and return to the age of the flip phone. While smartphones definitely make life more accessible, I'd love to go a day without notifications!

You can enter the parks without the Disneyland app, but there are a few areas where you will be limited. Let's walk through what you can and cannot do without the app:
-You CAN enter the parks without a smartphone. Bring a printed copy of your e-ticket with you.
-Alternatively, you CAN link a MagicBand+ to your My Disney account and use that to scan for park entry or your PhotoPass photos.
-You CAN make park reservations online through your My Disney account.

Now onto the things that will be a bit more difficult to navigate without the app:
-You CAN'T take advantage of Mobile Ordering without the Disneyland app.
-You CAN'T use Lightning Lane to skip the attraction queues.
-You CAN'T make mobile purchases in the park shops.

As you can see, it's 50/50. If you have a friend who has the app and is going with you, you can link your tickets to their account and let them make Lightning Lane selections on your behalf. But you can navigate app-free and have a fantastic time. You'll have more bandwidth to find hidden Mickeys and more time to stop and listen to the Dapper Dans.

I wish you a magical unplugged visit! You know where to find us if you have any other questions.
