Hi Karen,
Walt Disney World has done a fabulous job of making its theme parks accessible to everyone. There is a great
online guide to all the services offered to guests with disabilities that will be helpful for you when navigating the theme parks. All of these services are included in your ticket price. Disney World rides are also highly accessible and a review of this guide may help you figure out if some of the rides may be ok depending on your specific medical reasons.
Unfortunately, there are no discounted tickets for guests due to medical concerns or disabilities. When purchasing
Theme Park Tickets, you will need to choose how many days you want to visit and a date range for your visit. If your timing is flexible, you may choose to visit during a down season at Disney World, and the tickets will be a little bit cheaper. Another option is to purchase tickets for special events at Disney World like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party where there will be several more characters to meet, themed decorations, and special foods to enjoy in addition to the scenery.
I also encourage you to think about all of the things there are to do at Disney World that are not just rides. There are several shows and attractions that you can enjoy throughout your visit that will make the ticket price worth it even if you don't step foot on a ride. My favorite theme park to enjoy on a ride-free day is EPCOT. There are so many attractions and shops to explore while you adventure around the World Showcase that you won't even think about those rides you are missing.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
