Does a ticket have to be purchased before making a reservation? Are more tickets sold than what is allowed for reservations? I purchased 2 tickets and am unable to make a reservation due to the website being down.

Hi there, Julie! Greetings from everyone here at planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and asking your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

As Walt Disney World Resort continues its phased reopening, Guests are finally able to return to all of the magic they know and love! During your upcoming stay, you may notice changes across the property such as enhanced cleaning procedures, temporary adjustments to promote physical distancing, and modified experiences to reduce contact. All Guests ages two and up are also required to wear face coverings in all indoor locations including when entering and throughout attractions, theaters, and transportation.

Additionally, Guests will also need a reservation prior to entering any of the four theme parks! Guests can make theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system as soon as they have purchased their theme park tickets. Theme park tickets are sold on a continuous basis and it is suggested that Guests make their theme park reservations as soon as possible. It is also highly suggested that Guests check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar online before booking their stay to verify that there are reservations available during their chosen travel dates.

If you are still having technical problems interfere with making your theme park recommendations, you may want to switch from the website to the My Disney Experience app. If this does not solve your concerns, you may want to reach out to the Website Support phone line where a Cast Member will assist you with any technical issues you may be experiencing.

Best of luck as you continue to plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to let us know if we can provide any additional assistance along the way!
